What are donats?
While in Poland we delight in traditional doughnuts, overseas we eat doughnuts with the same flavor, or to put it more simply – cookies with a hole.
The long history of donats
Donuts are part of American history, by no means recent. They were invented in the 19th century and it didn’t take long for them to reach Poland as well. They are now very popular in Western Europe, where cafes have sprung up that serve only donuts baked according to strictly American recipes. Of course, this is patented, so if you see a sign somewhere that says Mini Donat King, you should definitely take a break for something sweet.
Donats – part of Popular Culture
These eye-catching doughnuts with a hole served in various toppings also have a permanent place in American cinematography. In many companies we encounter a scene in which policemen or ordinary citizens delight in the taste of doughnuts during the breakfast break. The appearance and shape of the doughnut is therefore unique and reserved only for these American donuts.
Donats common in Poland
The American delicacy has long conquered all of Europe. Some time ago it also came to Poland. The most popular way of serving donuts is franchising. A cafe, in which donuts will have their important place, is a great business idea. It is worth taking advantage of it before donats become as common as our Polish donuts, because then they will cease to be fashionable at the same time.
